The issue was completed at the end of June and is an indication of investor trust in the government's policies in the fight against Covid-19, the Finance Ministry said on Monday.

"It is because of these measures that the halting of the economy was relatively brief with stimulus programmes mitigating the impacts of the epidemic on the labour market and helping maintain the financing of the economy."

Slovenia's credit rating was recently affirmed by Moody's (Baa1 with a stable outlook) and Standard & Poor's (AA- with a stable outlook).

The ministry said the positive sentiment of foreign investors was also reflected in the yield on the 10-year benchmark, which is currently at -0.04%.
