According to media reports, the receiver of Adria Airways found a buyer for the flight school at the end of July. The Institute for Constitutional System and Human Rights bought the school for EUR 7,500, which was the asking price at the first public auction.

The news portal necenzurirano.si said Jambrek, also the chancellor of the private New University, is entering the Adria Aviation Academy venture with Chinese businessman Kai Dai.

The latter holds 55%, Jambrek 30% and Jamrek's son Oskar Peter 1%, the business newspaper Finance reported.

Jambrek told Finance that the plan was to become the biggest flight school in the world. "We are targeting a large pool of countries - in China for instance there is a tremendous shortage of pilots, and the same is true in India, Indonesia," he said.

The jurist, who announced the school would be run by his other son Boštjan, added that the pandemic needed to calm down first and all formal certificates put in order.

Adria's training licence is currently frozen with the Civil Aviation Agency. To revive it, the new owners will need to do away with irregularities and set up all services required to maintain the licence. Jambrek expects the school to start operating next year.
