Companies Kolektor, CGP and VOC Celje have been picked to do the works at the expressway junction Gaberke for EUR 8.47 million without VAT, announced DARS on Friday.

The selected consortium quoted DARS the lowest price for the project. The deadline for submitting requests for a review of the selection procedure is eight days. If no such requests are filed, DARS could sign the deal with the contractor in September and the works at Gaberke could start in mid-October.

Meanwhile, an open call for construction works on the part of the project linking Velenje South and Slovenj Gradec is also coming to a close. The price tag of the project is estimated at EUR 30 million without VAT.

Building the section is deemed a key investment, according to a government list of projects that will be given priority treatment in administrative procedures so as to help kick-start the economy in the wake of Covid-19.
