Last Wednesday marked the five-year anniversary of the opening of the Vinarium Tower, which has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country. It recorded 18,246 visitors in August this year, 3,000 more than in the same period last year, bringing the total over the five-year period to 446,000.

The local tourism association in Lendava that manages the tower said that, after reopening in May, Vinarium was visited mainly by individuals from Slovenia, but also by families and small groups, who were additionally motivated by the possibility of using tourist vouchers during the holiday season.

Now they are trying to attract visitors with additional programmes. In mid-August, they prepared a special dining experience on the viewing platform, which attracted a lot of interest and sold out in four days.
