The motion will allege that Pivec violated laws concerning the prevention of corruption, abused her office, failed to abide by ethical standards and concealed facts that are in the public interest.

The party plans to ask all deputy groups to join the motion, it announced on Thursday.

Pivec has come under fire after failing to adequately explain the details of two trips at which she combined official ministerial duties with family activities.

She was forced out of the Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) by her deputy group and the council, but insists she still enjoys grassroots support and plans to mount a new bid for the party presidency.

All five DeSUS deputies have disavowed her and Franc Jurša, the leader of the deputy group, said today it was possible they will vote in favour of her dismissal as minister.
