Business Sentiment Flat in November
In manufacturing, business sentiment rose by two points over the month before, as almost all sub-indicators improved. However, the sub-indicator of inventories of finished products dropped by six points and the expected employment indicator was down three points.
The sentiment indicator in retail inched one point higher over October, up nine points year-on-year and seven points above the long-term average despite a 21-point drop in the sub-indicator measuring the expected business situation.
The construction remains pessimistic, as the sentiment indicator dropped by two points on the back of a decrease in all sub-indicators measuring expectations. However, the industry indicator is still eight points above the level of a year ago.
The sentiment indicator in services dropped by three points as almost all major sub-indicators declined.
