STO wins tourism video competition
Ljubljana - A video by the Slovenian Tourism Board (STO) has won first place in the ETC-CIFFT Video Competition, organised by the European Travel Commission (ETC) and the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT). Titled Time to Stay Home. Turn to Nature and Dream, the video promotes social responsibility amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The video won among 18 other videos submitted by 12 EU tourism boards. Second place was taken by Lithuania and third by Denmark.
Released in April 2020, the video inspires viewers to dream about and plan their trip to Slovenia.
STO director Maja Pak said the board was happy to have won this tough competition. Awards like this one strengthen Slovenia's image as a green and sustainable boutique destination, she added.
