Another podium for Slovenia's Lanišek
Zakopane - Slovenian ski jumper Anže Lanišek won his third podium position this season as he finished second on the large hill in Zakopane, Poland on Sunday, less than three points behind Halvor Egner Granerud of Norway.
The best Slovenian ski jumper this season, Lanišek landed a 129-metre jump in the first series for third place and followed up with a 132-metre jump in the final series to finish just ahead of another Norwegian, Robert Johansson, who had the longest jump of the finals.
Lanišek has climbed to fifth place in the overall World Cup standings with 749 points, just a point behind Johansson. Cup leader Granerud is far ahead with 1,542 points.
