Ljubljana - Some 200 people rallied against the government in front of Parliament House as the National Assembly debates a motion of no confidence in the government in Monday.

Carrying banners "Down with government", "Government falling", "Shame", "Enough JJ", the protesters wrote slogans on the pavement in chalk, and placed some banners on police cars.

They carried a banner listing the names of the Pensioners' Party (DeSUS), which left the coalition in December, and the coalition Modern Centre Party (SMC) and saying "we're watching you" and that "this is your last chance".

The rally was staged by the anti-government protesters who usually take to the streets on Friday afternoons.

There was a minor incident, with protestors following police officers to their vehicles after they had taken a bullhorn from one the protestors.

Police officers reminded the protestors that the rally was unauthorised and that they should heed police instructions.

At the beginning it did not appear that the police were ID-ing the protestors or fining them for breaking the ban on gathering of more than 10 people currently in place due to the coronavirus epidemic.

However, this was not the case at the end of the protest. One of the protestors refused to show the officers her ID and was taken to the police station.
