Rasnov - Nika Križnar, Slovenian's best female ski jumper this winter, won a World Cup event in Rasnov, Romania on Thursday in what is the second World Cup victory in her career. She is now also in the lead in overall rankings.

Križnar had 2.8 points advantage ahead of Japanese Sara Takanashi (232.9 points) in second place. Slovenia's success in the top ten was rounded off with Ema Klinec (222.3) in fifth and Jerneja Brecl (205.7) in ninth places.

Urša Bogataj was 19th (193.6) and Katra Komar (180) 27th.

Today's victory brought Križnar enough points to take the lead in the overall rankings so she took the yellow bib for the first time in her career. Slovenia is also currently in the lead in the Ski Jumping World Cup Nations Cup.

"I did two good jumps, the final being slightly worse but luckily still good enough. I wanted this second victory of my career so much and I'm glad I made it. It is also quite special to put on the yellow bib for the first time in my career," the 20-year-old winner said.

Križnar bagged her first World Cup victory at the Women's Ski Jumping World Cup in Austria's Hinzenbach at the beginning of the month.

She also competed at the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, where she was 7th.
