The association highlighted  measures enabling workers' participation in management, profit sharing and stock ownership.

Calling these measures "urgent" for the development of economic democracy, the association said the participation in the managing of companies and institutes should become a constitutional right.

The current worker participation in management act needs thorough overhaul, the representatives of Slovenian workers said.

The association had proposed changes to the act to the previous National Assembly. "This proposal could be a good basis for immediate launch of a new legislative procedure in this term of the National Assembly," the association said.
