Receivership Launched for "the Bell"

The court endorsed receivership at the request from the NLB bank, the biggest creditor of the firm with 44.6% of the total claims.

The bank insisted on receivership as it does not intend to reprogram loans to Zvon Dva, judge Jasna Murgel said. The court-appointed financial expert Ana Luin added that the possibility of a successful restructuring was below 50%.

Receivership at the financial firm was expected to be launched even before the New Year's, after the court rejected the request from Gospodarstvo Rast, the owner of Zvon Dva, to convert its claims to Zvon Dva into ownership stakes.

Zvon Dva joins Gospodarstvo Rast, which has been in receivership since 24 November, as the second financial firm in the ownership of the Maribor Archdiocese to go bust.

The third financial pillar of the archdiocese, Zvon Ena, is currently undergoing debt-restructuring proceedings, which are being challenged by NLB.
