The second place in Kulm went to Austria's Thomas Morgenstern (200.5m/206.8 points) and the third to Norway's Anders Bardal (205.5m/201.1 points).

The ski jumping event was originally scheduled for Saturday but was postponed to today due to poor weather conditions. Another will take place at 2 PM.

Maze was 0.86 seconds behind the winner, Lindsey Vonn (1:26.16) of the US. This is Maze's fifth podium place in eight races. Slovenia's other competitor Maruša Ferk finished on the 25th place (+2.76), while Ilka Štuhec was eliminated.

Today's result puts Maze into second place in the overall World Cup standings.

"I have had a successful and tough weekend. I did not do well in Cortina last year and I was fourth again on Saturday. A lot of things happened to me this weekend too...but I had to stay calm," Maze said after the race.
