Merkur Files Against Former Execs

Nekategorizirano

The first lawsuit against the former management headed by Bine Kordež concerns the sale of a Merkur centre in Kranj, which is believed to have caused a damage of EUR 9m to the company.

This is however only a fraction of the EUR 200m in total damage that Merkur is estimated to have suffered under Kordež.

An audit for the period between 1 January 2007 and 30 June 2010, carried out by Deloitte revizija, unveiled three sets of controversial deals.

The former management is suspected of mismanaging the assets of Merkur and its subsidiaries, abusing powers and presenting deceiving financial reports.

The new management, which plans to examine each case separately, was given the all-clear to take legal action against their predecessors by the shareholders in December.
