Gergely Bogányi
As one of the most respected pianists of his generation Gergely Boganyi is used to being awarded prestigious musical prizes from his early childhood. His first award came as early as 1980 at only six years of age. A staple in the most elite concert halls, Boganyi is used to working with the world's best orchestras. In the 2010/11 season he performed a weekend marathon in Budapest, which featured 10 concerts, including the entire oeuvre of Chopin, all this while juggling other regular appearances, such as performing with the famous trumpeter Gabor Boldoczki and marking the 200th anniversary of Franz Lizst with 3 recitals at the Newport Music Festival.
