The Slovenia Times

Eva Nina Kozmus is a member of the youngest generation of Slovene musicians who, because of their musical talents and technical skills, have attracted our attention on the international stage. She will be performing the demanding Flute Concerto written by Danish composer, Carl Nielsen, who was active in the second half of the 19th century and early part of the 20th century. The work was dedicated to the Danish flutist, Holger Gilbert-Jespersen. Due to time constraints, the composer sent the soloist his part written on the back of postcards posted from Venice, Italy, just shortly before its premiere performance in the Salle Gaveau in Paris. Pieces by Kogoj and Beethoven will also be performed.
