Geoplin secures its constant supply of the Slovenian market from three main sources - Europe, Algeria and Russia, the latter accounting for around half of its capacities. The company also has a storage facility in Austria and one in Croatia.

According to the press release, the company takes active care in optimising its purchase and sales portfolio and can secure a reliable gas supply regardless of the current situation.

The press release comes after extremely low temperatures in Russia prompted the country's gas giant Gazprom to reduce its gas supply to Europe by around 10%. The EU has meanwhile reported that some companies have received as much as 30% less Russian gas.
