Websites Targeted by Anonymous
ZPS president Breda Kutin expressed surprise over the attack, because the association worked for the good of the consumers and even collected signatures against ACTA on its website, which has since been put back online.
The ZPS believes that the procedures "which have been carried out until now are unsuitable", Kutin told the STA, adding that a serious debate is needed, "which is why Slovenia's signature of ACTA should be frozen".
She added that the ZPS was an NGO, but "apparently they consider our site important, or else this would not have happened".
The 24ur.com portal moreover reported today that Anonymous was allegedly behind the attack on the website of the ruling Democrats (SDS), which also went offline today.
The attack on the SDS website was confirmed in a report by public broadcaster RTV, which said that the website of the opposition SocDems was also down.
The websites of the coalition New Slovenia (NSi), the opposition Positive Slovenia (PS), SAZAS, the main Slovenian organisation collecting music royalties, and the right-leaning magazine Reporter were also subsequently reported down.
