Slovenia confirms 12 coronavirus cases for Sunday

Ljubljana - Slovenia reported twelve new coronavirus cases for Sunday in 564 PCR tests for a positivity rate of 2.1% in what continues to be a week-on-week increase. Another two Covid patients died yesterday.

In addition, 5,647 rapid antigen tests were performed yesterday.

Hospitalisations decreased by two to 41 this morning, whereas the number of ICU cases remained unchanged at 10, the latest government data show.

The 7-day average of new cases remains at 54 and the 14-day incidence per 100,000 population at 26.

The National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) estimates that there are currently 563 active cases in the country.

Discounting the latest two fatalities, Covid-19 has claimed 4,754 lives in the country, according to Health Ministry data.

A total of 739,738 people or some 35% have been fully immunised, according to the NIJZ.
