Portrait photography always arouses interest, especially when it depicts people we know. One example of this is a series that is linked with the Glazer Award, named after Janko Glazer - a poet, an editor, an important director of Maribor Study Library and Prešern Award recipient. The city of Maribor has been giving the award for extraordinary achievements in culture since 1987. The award recipients are mainly from the fields of literature and music, followed by fine artists and theatricals. Branimir Ritonja took photographs of the award recipients as part of a project that spanned several years and was very systematic.
