Growth in Covid infections continues

Ljubljana - Slovenia reported 46 new coronavirus cases for Sunday as the week-on-week rise in infections continued. The 7-day average of new cases rose by two to 118 and the cumulative 14-day incidence per 100,000 residents increased by one to 68.

Figures released by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) show that 668 PCR tests were performed yesterday, for a test positivity rate of 6.9%, up from 4.8% a week ago. A total of 7,302 rapid antigen tests were also conducted.

There are now an estimated 1,480 active cases in the country, up by 26 on the day before.

A total of 939,181 or 45% of the population have received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine and 831,476 or 39% have been fully inoculated.
