László Fassang
One of the pre-eminent organists of his generation, Hungarian-born László Fassang graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest and the Paris Conservatory, where he dedicated a considerable amount of time to improvisation. In 2000, Fassang took a sabbatical year to become resident organist at the Sapporo Concert Hall (Japan). Here, he recorded a CD on the Kern organ, which included works by Bach and Liszt as well as his own improvisations. Within the last decade, Fassang acquired international acclaim with numerous awards.
