Bled, 2 September - President Borut Pahor held a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Bled Strategic Forum (BSF) on Thursday, including with High Representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina Christian Schmidt. The pair talked about the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pahor's office said.

The same topic topped the agenda of Pahor's meeting with two members of the presiding trio of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović.

On Wednesday, Pahor already held a number of bilateral talks in Bled to discuss efforts to strengthen cooperation among Western Balkan countries to step up EU enlargement to the region. He met North Macedonia's Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Serbia's President Aleksandar Vučić and Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev.

Kurti thanked Pahor for Slovenia remaining a supporter and friend of Kosovo. Pahor meanwhile highlighted the importance of dialogue between Belgrade and Prishtina, calling for efforts to boost regional cooperation.

Meeting with Zaev, Pahor reiterated Slovenia's support for North Macedonia in its bid to join the EU, offering help in case it would be needed.

Vučić and Pahor reaffirmed good relations between Serbia and Slovenia and support for EU enlargement to the Western Balkans in "an honest, sincere and friendly" talk, said the office.

Pahor and Radev discussed possibilities on launching accession talks with North Macedonia and Albania as soon as possible. Radev informed Pahor of Bulgaria's current home affairs situation as the country has so far failed to get a new government after two elections this year.

The Slovenian president also met other participants of this year's BSF, including EBRD president Odile Renaud-Basso, Vatican's Secretary of State Pietro Parolin, Jean-Paul Carteron, chairman and founder of the Crans Montana Forum, and Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
