Museum director Kaja Širok told  that the staff was very surprised to see such form of vandalism and that the museum reported the incident to the police.

She noted that there could be a link to the museum's ongoing exhibition "Slovenian Women in the Modern Age", whose basic colour is also pink.

However, "this is a serious matter, because we don't know how to return the tank to its original state," she said, explaining that it will probably have to be repainted, as the pink would not go off.
