Ljubljana - Another 282 people tested positive for coronavirus in Slovenia on Sunday, an increase of 20% from the same day a week ago, data from the National Institute of Pubic Health (NIJZ) shows. According to Covid tracker site, the number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals has passed 300 and one more patient has died.

There were 312 patients in hospitals this morning, after 29 were newly admitted and eight were discharged, while one patient died yesterday. 74 patients are in intensive care, according to the covid-19.sledilnik.org site.

The NIJZ estimates there are now 9,791 active coronavirus cases in the country.

The 7-day average of new cases rose to 841 and the 14-day incidence per 100,000 to 462. Both figures were up by seven from the day before.

The test positivity rate was at 17% yesterday, down from the percentages in recent days.
