The Velenje-based Gorenje group exported EUR 1.18bn worth of products, while the exports of the Renault's Novo mesto plant in stood at EUR 1.10bn.

Another Novo mesto-based company, drug maker Krka, is third on the list with EUR 973.8m, followed by power utility HSE (EUR 778.4m) and steel group SIJ (EUR 653.2m).

According to Delo, Revoz lost the top spot because of a 15% drop in exports last year. The Gorenje group meanwhile boosted its sales abroad by 5.6%, and Krka by almost 14%.

The 129 companies included in Delo's list exported a total of EUR 11.4bn worth of goods, of which EUR 8.6bn was exported to EU countries. Exports to markets of former Yugoslavia reached EUR 1bn, while third markets accounted for EUR 1.7bn.

The companies plan to export a total of EUR 11.7bn worth of goods this year, which is about 3% more than in 2011.
