Trefalt won the award for his contribution to the development of recreation and entertainment programme of public broadcaster RTV Slovenija. He has to be thanked for the good shape and decades of wellness of the viewers, the award jury said.

Between 1991 and 1995, Trefalt was in charge of the entertainment programme at the national television, introducing new shows and tripling the runtime of the programme. He received the awards from last year's winner, actor Janez Hočevar - Rifle.

The management of Kino Šiška, which opened in 2009 as a new urban culture centre to replace the long-dead cinema hall in the Ljubljana borough of Šiška, won the special achievement award for "continuous promotion of bursts of creative energy and enriching the cultural life in the capital".

Klemen Slakonja, the host of the Misija Evrovizija show, which determined Slovenia's representative at the 2012 Eurosong contest, won the jury award for best entertainment show host. He also won the Viktor for most popular TV personality.

Igor E. Bergant, a host of RTV Slovenija's news programme Odmevi, won the award for best news show host, and Odmevi also won the Viktor for best news programme. Aleksandrinke meanwhile won the award for best documentary TV series.

Male sive celice is the best youth TV programme, Na terapiji is the best TV series, while RTV Slovenija's culture programme host Polona Balantič won the award for up-and-coming media personality.

Popularity awards also went to POP TV's news show 24ur, radio host Denis Avdič and radio station Val 202. The most popular musician is Tanja Žagar, while POP TV's on-line portal 24ur.com is the most popular media website.
