Ljubljana - Consumer confidence in Slovenia deteriorated for the third month in a row in September as the relevant indicator was down by one percentage point compared to August, which the Statistics Office attributes to more pessimistic expectations regarding the economic situation in the country and financial situation in households.

While the relevant sub-indicators were down by seven and one percentage points, respectively, expectations regarding major purchases and consumers' opinion about the current financial situation in households improved by two and one points, respectively.

While being down on the monthly basis, consumer confidence in Slovenia in September was up by three percentage points year-on-year, and was five points above the last year's average.

On the annual basis, all four components of the consumer confidence indicator were up, with the assessment of the current financial situation in households improving the most, by six percentage points.

Consumers' expectations regarding the economic situation in the country were up by three points, expectations regarding major purchases by two points and expectations regarding the financial situation in households by one point year-on-year.
