Ljubljana - Slovenia reported 225 coronavirus cases for Sunday, a drop of 20% from the same day a week ago, as the number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals rose further and 7 patients died, combined data from the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) and Covid tracker show.

The NIJZ estimates that there are now 12,290 active cases in the country, down by 68 from the day before. The 7-day average of new cases fell by nine to 870 and the 14-day incidence per 100,000 residents dropped by three to 580.

According to the tracker site covid-19.sledilnik.org, the number of patients hospitalised with Covid-19 rose by three more to 431 this morning; 122 required intensive care. Seven patients died.

The test positivity rate yesterday was 18.7%.
