Anna Netrebko portrays a tragic hero in this new production, coming to the Met from the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. This performance of Jules Massenet's Manon will be conducted by Fabio Luisi and performed by Anna Netrebko (Manon), Piotr Beczala (Chevalier des Grieux), Paulo Szot (Lescaut) and David Pittsinger (Comte des Grieux). Laurent Pelly is the stage director and costume designer, Chantal Thomas the scenic designer, Joël Adam the lighting designer and Lionel Hoche the choreographer.
