Two years after the inspiring appearance at Cankarjev dom, the Choir of the Russian State Capella is returning to Ljubljana. The vocal ensemble gained critical acclaim in its homeland as early as in 1971, the year of its foundation. The great breakthrough came with the Guido d'Arezzo International Competition, at which the choir won two medals, and its conductor, Valery Polyansky, received the special prize for best conductor. The door into the world opened wide: the ensemble toured all over Russia as well as internationally, mostly across Europe.
