Slovenia logged 3,344 new coronavirus infections on Monday
Ljubljana - Another 3,344 PCR tests came back positive in Slovenia on Monday as the positivity rate remained high at 44%, the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) reported. A dozen Covid-19 patients died.
This morning, 874 Covid-19 patients were in hospitals, up 31 from the day before, including 193 in intensive care, three more than yesterday, the government said on Twitter.
The seven-day average surged by 316 from the day before to 3,178 and the 14-day incidence per 100,000 population increased by 50 to to 1,785.
NIJZ estimates that the number of active cases in the country rose by more than a thousand to 37,669.
Almost 44% of the PCR tests came back positive yesterday.
The vaccination rate for the entire population is at 53% and for adults at 63%. 74% of those older than 50 have also been fully vaccinated.
