Coronavirus infections keep falling
Ljubljana - A total of 1,034 people tested positive for coronavirus in Slovenia on Sunday, roughly a quarter fewer than the same day a week ago, as hospital figures remained stable. Another 19 patients lost their lives to Covid-19 though, government data shows.
As of this morning 1,156 people were treated in hospitals for Covid-19, including 281 in intensive care.
ICU cases are thus down by four from yesterday, but still by six higher than a week ago as overall hospitalisations went up from Sunday by 16, but were down by six week-on-week.
Data from the National Institute of Public Health shows the 7-day average of new cases has dropped further to 2,318 and the 14-day incidence per 100,000 population fell to 1,821.
An estimated 38,378 people are still infected in Slovenia.
The PCR test positivity rate was a high 46.5% yesterday, but it was still below the 50.9% recorded on the Sunday a week ago.
