Ski jumper Urša Bogataj third in Klingenthal

Klingenthal - Slovenian ski jumper Urša Bogataj finished third at Friday's World Cup event in Klingenthal, Germany, achieving her third podium finish this season. The winner was Marita Kramer from Austria, who clinched her third win of the season and retained the lead in the overall standings.

Kramer won with 247.9 points, while Bogataj in third scored 237.5 points, with her success supplemented by the other members of the Slovenian women's ski jumping team.

All six of them were in the finals today, including Nika Prevc (25th), who is competing her first World Cup season in career. Nika Križnar finished fourth and Špela Rogelj was tenth.

"We achieved another nice team success, all of our ski jumpers got points, with another podium finish for Urša. We can be satisfied with today's performance, but we haven't shown everything we got yet," said team coach Zoran Zupančič.

In the overall World Cup standings, Kramer further increased her lead and is now at 430 points, with Germany's Katharina Althaus (321 points) in second place and Bogataj (290) in third, followed by another Slovenian Ema Klinec in fourth (279).

The women ski jumpers will have another World Cup competition in Klingenthal on Saturday.
