Dubai - A delegation of 36 Slovenian business representatives of 19 companies is heading to Dubai on Sunday for a three-day visit of the Expo show focussing on digitalisation and artificial intelligence. The country's administration minister will also be on hand.

The main event of the visit, organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) and the public SPIRIT agency, will be a business forum at the Slovenian pavilion on Monday themed Data for Better Business and Living. The event will be addressed by Public Administration Minister BoĊĦtjan Koritnik.

The visiting business officials will also take part in a conference on Tuesday discussing the role of blockchain and AI in the realisation of UN sustainable development goals by 2030. The conference, organised by SPIRIT and the Economy Ministry, rounds off a series of events dedicated to blockchain technology and AI as part of the Slovenian presidency of the Council of the EU, the GZS said.

The chamber organised visits to Expo by delegations of businesses representing advanced materials and technological solutions for smart factories in November. Next year three more will follow, showcasing logistics (9-14 January 2022), wood industry (16-20 January 2022) and the agriculture and food industry (13-16 February 2022).

The Expo show is running until the end of March 2022. One of the 192 countries showcased, Slovenia is being promoted under the slogan Green Smart Experience as a sustainable, modern, creative and forward-looking country that can offer a green environment, expertise, groundbreaking ideas and innovation.
