Ljubljana - Slovenia reported 767 new cases of coronavirus for Saturday, down two percent on the week before. Almost 34% of PCR tests came back positive, down a percentage point on last week, show the latest data by the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

The inflow of new cases having flattened in recent weeks, hospital numbers continue to decline at a moderate pace.

There were 701 patients with Covid-19 in hospital this morning, down two from yesterday and the lowest figure since the start of November.

The number of ICU cases declined by seven to 216. Thirteen patients died, government data show.

The 14-day incidence per 100,000 population declined by 15 to 874 and the 7-day rolling average of new daily cases decreased by three to 1,222.

The NIJZ estimates there are currently just over 18,400 active cases in the country.
