Ljubljana - Nevzet Porić, the mufti of the Islamic community in Slovenia, has wished Archbishop of Ljubljana Stanislav Zore and all Catholics in Slovenia peaceful and blessed Christmas holidays.

In the message published by the Islamic community in Slovenia on Friday, Porić said the holidays were an "opportunity for in-depth personal prayer and spiritual growth, and for strengthening family ties through the values of faith in god."

He added that today's times were full of various challenges, and that Jesus's teachings could help people understand and respect each other, regardless of what their religious beliefs were. "Jesus taught that it is worth being a good man."

Mufti Porić added that the coming days offered new hope for reflection on universal values and collective responsibility for human civilisation.
