Slovenia records 666 new cases of coronavirus as downward trend persists
Ljubljana - Slovenia recorded 666 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday, down 13% on the week before and the continuation of a weeks-long trend. The test positivity rate was at almost 31%, down three points on the week before.
Hospitals numbers declined marginally. There were 577 patients with Covid-19 this morning, of which 197 in intensive care. Eight patients died, government data show.
The National Institute of Public Health said the 14-day incidence per 100,000 population was 761, down by five on the day before.
The seven-day rolling average of new daily cases was down by 14 to 1,060.
The number of active cases is estimated at just over 16,000.
