Lenzerheide - Slovenian cross-country skier Anamarija Lampič finished third in the women's World Cup sprint in Switzerland's Lenzerheide on Tuesday in what was the first event of the Tour de Ski series.

The 26-year-old Slovenian finished third in the World Cup for the third time in the current season in individual races, after the 1.5km sprint in Davos, Switzerland on 11 December and the 1.3km sprint in Germany's Dresden on 18 December.

Lampič, who now has a total of 12 individual podium finishes in her career, also won third place in the women's team event in Dresden a day later with her compatriot Eva Urevc.
