Ljubljana - The government has drafted a regulation on development incentives for tourism which should enable investments in tourism infrastructure worth EUR 100 million until 2029.

The draft regulation sets down types of incentives and conditions to obtain them, according to the documents prepared for the government to adopt them.

EUR 80 million is to come based on the national recovery and resilience plan in 2022-2026, and the remaining EUR 20 million from European cohesion funds for 2021-2027.

The basic document to plan tourism development at national level will be a strategy of sustainable development of Slovenian tourism for 2022-2028 which is expected to be adopted in April next year. Once adopted, the regulation will be supplemented with more details about various types of incentives.
