Lovro Kos with first career World Cup podium finish

Garmisch-Partenkirchen - Slovenia's Lovro Kos finished third in the second event of the Four Hills Tournament as part of the men's Ski Jumping World Cup in Germany's Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Saturday. He finished behind Ryoyu Kobayashi of Japan and Markus Eisenbichler of Germany.

Wit jumps of 143 and 135.5 metres, Kobayashi earned 291.2 points, with Eisenbichler trailing the Japanese only by 0.2 of a point for the second place. Kos earned 286 points with jumps of 135.5 and 138 metres.

This is the first career podium finish for the 22-year-old in the World Cup and the eight podium finish for Slovenians in Garmisch-Partenkirchen as part of the Four Hills Tournament.

Three more Slovenians made it to the final series, with Timi Zajc finishing 9th (137/127.5m for 264.1 points), Anže Lanišek 14th (130/135m for 257.6 points) and Cene Prevc 15th (131/135m for 257.3 points).
