The biggest drugs and arms bust in Slovenia's history
Yesterday the police continued investigating and was still working on charges against the suspects, therefore, the court hearings started only in the afternoon.
Among the suspects heard in courts are alleged heads of organised arms and drug crime in the country. The names of the suspects are not known.On Friday a total of some 60 people were arrested, but around a half were released later in the day. The police is to hold a press conference on Monday.
The sting was a culmination of a years-long investigation into drugs and arms trafficking from the Balkans into EU countries. According to reports, the drugs were mostly headed for Italy, Germany and France.
