EU Head Van Rompuy Due in Slovenia on 25 May
Van Rompuy will meet Prime Minister Janez Janša as part of the visit, which will be dedicated to efforts to deal with the eurozone's debt crisis and efforts to restart EU's ailing economy.
The visit will take place less than two weeks after the National Assembly confirmed a government-sponsored austerity package that will halve Slovenia's budget deficit to 3% of GDP this year.
This will be Van Rompuy's fifth visit to Slovenia since he became the first permanent president of the European Council on 1 December 2009.
His most recent visit took place in June 2011, ahead of the failed referendum on pension reform proposed by the previous government.
