Brdo pri Kranju - The coalition leaders will meet in Brdo pri Kranju on Friday to discuss possible projects that could still be carried out by the end of the government's term. Prime Minister Janez Janša has also invited coalition MP and some ministers, as well as opposition deputies who mostly support the coalition's proposals to the session.

The coalition will be checking which projects, in addition to current affairs, could be carried out by the end of the mandate as the general election is scheduled to take place in the spring.

These projects include changes to the acts on personal income tax, investments in education and the establishment of a demographic fund.

In addition to the presidents of the junior coalition parties, Matej Tonin of New Slovenia (NSi) and Zdravko Počivalšek of Concretely, the ministers of health, finance, education, environment, infrastructure, labour and cohesion policy have also been invited.

Also invited by Janša are the coalition MPs and opposition MPs who mostly support the coalition's proposals in parliament - the deputy group of the Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) and the National Party (SNS), as well as the two minority MPs.

However, only SNS president and deputy Zmago Jelinčič will attend the meeting, as DeSUS declined the invitation, saying it was an opposition party.

The MP of the Italian minority, Felice Žiža, has told the STA that he and the Hungarian MP will not attend, as this is not customary, as they have not attended coalition meetings so far, and they will remain "external partners".
