Prevc makes podium to follow up on Križnar's win
Willingen - Cene Prevc placed third in the men's Ski-Jumping World Cup event in Willingen, Germany, on Sunday for hist first ever individual podium finish to round off a successful dress rehearsal for Slovenia ahead of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games.
The last event before the Olympics was won by Norway's Marius Lindvik (243.8 points) ahead of Germany's Karl Geiger (238.7). Prevc scored 235.6 points with jumps of 148 and 133.5 metres.
This is the first individual World Cup podium for the 25-year-old, one of the three Prevc brothers, all of whom are accomplished ski jumpers.
He has made it to the podium twice in men's team events as well as twice as a member of mixed teams, most recently winning Friday's event in Willingen along with teammates Anže Lanišek, Ema Klinec and Urša Bogataj.
His feat completes Nika Križnar's win in the women's event at the same venue today.
The second best Slovenian male jumper today was Timi Zajc in ninth.
