Ljubljana - A total of 7,330 people tested positive for coronavirus in Slovenia on Friday, which is almost 200 cases fewer than on the day before, as the drop in the number of infections continues.

The seven-day average of daily cases decreased by almost 617 to 8,009 and the 14-day incidence per 100,000 people dropped by 358 to 7,343, the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) said.

The NIJZ estimates that there are currently 154,854 active cases in the country, down by 7,520 on the previous day.

The government meanwhile reported that hospitalisations are at 541 today, down by two compared to yesterday. The number of ICU patients also dropped by two to 114. A total of 15 Covid-19 patients died yesterday.
