Poll shows SDS strongly in the lead

Ljubljana - If election was held this Sunday, most respondents in a poll conducted by pollster Parsifal would vote for the ruling Democrats (SDS). The party's support rose by 3 percentage points to 22.9% in the past month. The Freedom Movement party headed by Robert Golob would come second, on 13.2% support, up by 2.8 percentage points.

The opposition Social Democrats (SD) in third place saw their support rise by 1.1 percentage point to 7.6%.

The opposition Left is in fourth place on 6.3% support, followed by the Marjan Šarec List (LMŠ), polling at 4.5%.

The Connecting Slovenia movement would be backed by 3.3% of respondents, the coalition New Slovenia (NSi) 2.9%, the Our Land party 2.8% and Resni.ca (Truth) by 2.4%. Other parties polled at under 2%.

About 16% of respondents said they did not know who they would vote for and 7.4% said they would not turn out.

Among the decided voters, 31.2% would vote for the SDS, 17.9% would support the Freedom Movement and 10.3% the SD.

The Left would be backed by 8.6%, the LMŠ 6.1%, Connecting Slovenia by 4.6% and the NSi 4%. Our Land would receive 3.8%.

The poll was conduced among 712 respondents. According to the private broadcaster Nova24TV, which published the poll on its website, most respondents were from the oldest age group.
