Ljubljana - The University of Ljubljana has expressed shock and concern over the Russian military intervention in Ukraine, expressing its deep solidarity with Ukraine's citizens and offering its assistance and support to Ukrainian students studying in Slovenia.

In a press release on Friday, Slovenia's largest and oldest university noted that Russian invasion is a grave violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and international law.

The University of Ljubljana remains an open and inclusive community, based on democracy, human rights, academic and scientific freedom and mutual assistance to peers at home and abroad, the values that it also insists on within the European and international associations in makes part of, reads the release.
