The German culture month will kick off with the opening of three poster exhibitions: A Case for Literature, which will display posters of contemporary Austrian and German whodunits, Fairy Tale Worlds, which will feature posters of traditional German fairy tales, and Nothing is Done, an exhibition of works by acclaimed poster designer Klaus Staek.

Most events will be organised by Goethe-Institut Ljubljana. The biggest of all will be the series of projects dubbed As We Speak - Future Languages by Heike Albrecht, which will run until the end of the year.

In his video message on the European Culture Capital web page, German Ambassador to Slovenia Werner Burkart recommends the concert of Bach choir from Marburg, among other things.

The Goethe-Institut will moreover host a number of other exhibitions and literary readings.

An international symposium dubbed Germany Meets Slovenia will be held on 14 and 15 June, organised by the Slovenian Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin, the German-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, and Goethe-Institut Ljubljana.
