President Reaffirms Slovenia's Support to Macedonia
Slovenia's support to Macedonian efforts for membership in Euro-Atlantic organisations is consistent and will continue to be expressed at any opportunity, the president pointed out.
He added that bilateral economic relations should be developed with more intensity, including by placing special emphasis on solving problems of Slovenian investors in Macedonia as they surface, Türk's office wrote in a press release.
A more comprehensive exchange of views on different legislative issues could also be established as part of the increasingly intense parliamentary relations, Türk said, noting that Europe is in a process of reforms and an exchange of practice would benefit both countries.
Veljanoski meanwhile thanked Türk for Slovenia's support in the EU and NATO accession efforts and in the process of finding a just solution for Macedonia's name issue with Greece.
The Macedonian speaker was received on Tuesday by his host and Slovenian counterpart Gregor Virant, Prime Minister Janez Janša and Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec. He is scheduled to meet Ljubljana Mayor Zoran Janković later today
